alison 2012-03-10	Lanta Residence Boutique Resort, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Dao Beach Great location for exploring the island and close to many excellent restaurants and shopping. Far enough from the main road so not noisy. Has a rustic charm about it, albeit building exterior looks somewhat dated and reception area a little cluttered. That aside, very friendly staff always willing to help, generous room size (de-luxe), comfortable bed with fridge, tv, wi-fi and safe in room. Premises kept very clean. Basic breakfast but ok. German bakery a short walk away for yummy cakes and refreshments. Easy to get to nearby sandy beaches and relax at the end of a day by/in the roof top pool. Not much english spoken, but better than my Thai and communication was never a problem. Staff able to organise trips to local attractions at competitive rates, as-well as transfers. Overall an enjoyable stay and good value for money.	easy and hassle free with on line confirmation after booking made

Steven Gulliver 2007-02-19 until 2007-02-20	Lanta Residence & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Klong Dao Beach The hotel is adiquate but felt let down by the facilites.it is cheep and close to the beech but no roof top resturant or no signs of the spa being open. The pool was good but the staff were extremly difficalt to coomunicate with as there english was very poor. they told us they had no rooms available, even when handed e-voucher of room booking.
