Amora Beach Resort, Phuket, Bang Tao Bay
Very quiet as we were off season and the kids had the enormous pool largely to themselves. First night s meal was taken in the restaurant (not part of Amora) right on the beach and was an excellent experience. Second night used hotel restaurant that was ok. Rooms clean and comfortable and we got our request for connecting rooms.
Fine.

NOT THE NORMAL THAI GREETING ON ARRIVAL AS EXPERIENCED FROM OTHER HOTELS IN THE AREA...ROOM WAS CLEAN AND WELL SERVICED....THE BREAKFAST WAS NOTHING TO RAVE ABOUT, WE STAYED AT A 3STAR HOTEL IN PATONG AND THEY SERVED A BETTER BREAKFAST...THE EATING AREA NEEDS TO BE FREE OF BIRDS THAT SHIT ARROUND THE FOOD AND OF CATS THAT LEAVE LITTLE PARCELS ON THE SEATS...THE POOLS ARE VERY NICE...WE WOULD WELCOME THE OWNERS TO CONTACT US AND MAYBE WE COULD PROVIDE IDEAS IN CONVERTING A NEGATIVE IDEA INTO A POSITIVE ONE...THANKYOU
THE BOOKING VOUCHER CAME THROUGH OK...SO YOU MUST BE OK...THANKS

the hotel was nice and clean, we epecially liked the big swimming pool.
the staff was highly professional and was able to help us with everything we needed.
We didn t like that you had to pay extra fee for roomservice it should be included in the expensiv price we payed there for food.
We have no complains

Rydges Beach Resort, Bang Tao Bay
Pretty dreadful place! It is a big resort full of European package tourists. The food is dreadful. Large inedible buffets served in an aircraft hangar.
The staff are uniformly miserable. Look out for extra charges on your bill.
Transport from the hotel is over-priced. Like so much of Phuket.
Two good big pools and a well run kids club were the redeeming points.
